About
A science-led team proving a new energy source
Fremantle Lake exists to answer one question with rigor: can geologic hydrogen become a reliable, low-carbon source of energy for California and the country? We are an experienced team building a long-term, lasting project.
Our story
Why we started, and where we are headed
Fremantle Lake began in 2024 with a conviction that the energy the world needs may already be forming beneath our feet. We built exploration models to find the most promising ground, then secured an early land position to study it.
Since then the project has been joined by experienced energy operators and climate investors, and guided by advisors with deep subsurface and laboratory expertise. That combination of capital, science, and operating experience is what lets us move with both ambition and care.
Today we are preparing for the most important step yet: drilling an exploration well in California to bring hydrogen to the surface and test our models.
